It can maintain a conversation on a variety of topics (for example, travel, leisure), tell a joke or chat about topics relevant to Chinese culture, such as the Chinese animal cycle, the sights of major Chinese cities, Chinese cuisine and others.

The chatbot Captain Jack Sparrow was created in 2010 for the project Inf.net. The project won the 5th place at the annual competition "Chatterbox Challenge 2010" in June of 2010. The chatbot can maintain a conversation on topics related to his hero from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.
